On Mar 15, the Comic Con Museum in San Diego, CA will have a brand new exhibit - one that's definitely exciting for US Whovians. Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder: Where Science Meets Fiction will be making its US premiere, and tickets for the exhibition are already available.
Rita Vandergaw, Comic-Con Museum Executive Director, is excited about the exhibit making its US premiere.
"We are delighted to be working with BBC Studios and Sarner International to bring this fascinating exhibition that merges the worlds of science, fiction, and the popular arts through such a celebrated show. "Rita Vandergaw
The exhibit is likely to appeal to fans on multiple levels. For fans who want to see the monsters from the show (and honestly, who doesn't love the monsters?), the Monster Vault features the many costumes and props of the Doctor's greatest enemies, including the Daleks, Cybermen, and the Weeping Angels.
Speaking as a fan of both Doctor Who and monsters in general, this area would likely be my favorite part of the exhibition. Getting to see some of the old-school props and costumes on display (including various designs of the Cybermen over the years) would be great to see in person.

Real science
One aspect that makes this exhibition stand out is that it promises to explore real scientific concepts. Examples of these topics include time travel, cloning, and artificial intelligence. This sounds like a great way of exploring some real science, especially for younger fans (or even those young at heart). It also seems to be a key part of the exhibition, based on the following quote from Stephen Davies, SVP, Global Licensing for BBC Studios.
"We look forward to fans discovering the science that underpinned the creation of some of their favorite TV moments, and we’re delighted to share the Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder exhibition with Whovians in the U.S., in the iconic venue that is Comic-Con Museum."Stephen Davies
Other exhibit features include the TARDIS Tech Room, which contains a collection of the Doctor's sonic screwdrivers and other gadgets; a Time Vortex Corridor, and the chance to sound like a Dalek using a simulator. (Honestly, getting to sound like a Dalek is always a huge plus.) There's a lot about this that sounds incredibly appealing to all Whovians, and I hope I get the chance to visit the exhibition myself.
Tickets for the exhibit - and the entire Comic-Con Museum - can be purchased at the door or online at this link.
