This week’s free download from Big Finish is the Bernice Summerfield story Silver Lining. Originally released as a free CD with Doctor Who Magazine back in 2004, the story features not just the former Seventh Doctor companion, but also classic monsters the Cybermen!

Seasons 5 & 6
For the past two months, we’ve been making our way steadily through the vast back catalog of Bernice’s audios. Of course, there have been many other audios to cover during that time – including new box sets for the Eighth Doctor, the Paternoster Gang, and even Bernice herself – so we’ve been making our way rather slowly. But we’ve certainly been enjoying the earliest audio adventures of Bernice – making this next bit of news even more exciting.
Following her first four seasons being released in the format, seasons 5 and 6 of Bernice Summerfield are also now available on download. This is fantastic news. It was exciting enough when her earliest seasons were made available on download, especially after spending two decades being exclusive to physical media. With these additional seasons now available, it means that over half of Benny’s original audio series is now available in the format. Only five more seasons to go…
