Doctor Who news: Tom Baker stars in Time Lord Victorious: Genetics of the Daleks!

The Fourth Doctor will become a part of this year’s multi-platform event in the new audio Doctor Who: Time Lord Victorious: Genetics of the Daleks – out in December!
Well, we honestly thought that everything related to the huge Doctor Who event Time Lord Victorious had been announced by now. We’re extremely glad to be wrong, especially when it’s news this good.
On Dec 10, a brand new audio drama will be released starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor and Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks. Genetics of the Daleks by Jonathan Morris focuses the Starship Future, which has ten thousand humans in stasis heading to a new home. Of course, those plans are in immediate jeopardy when one lone Dalek crosses its path…
Tom Baker gives us an idea of how dangerous just one Dalek is in this story.
"Of all the monsters in all of Doctor Who, I’ve no doubt that the Daleks are the most successful, and this story is really rather good at showing why. You see, even a solitary, seemingly dead Dalek is a deadly enemy."
The Fourth Doctor encounters the Daleks once more – in a story directly connected to an escape room for the Time Lord Victorious event!

Escape room prequel
Interestingly, while the story has been produced by Big Finish Productions, it’s also been created in partnership with Escape Hunt. In fact, the story has been designed to work as a prequel to their escape room A Dalek Awakens, which is in itself connected to Time Lord Victorious. However (and fans outside of the UK will definitely be glad about this), the audio drama can also be enjoyed on its own, too.
Producer James Goss is excited about how this story connects to both the whole multi-platform event and the escape room.

The script works brilliantly as a standalone story, but also expands the Time Lord Victorious universe and sets up the A Dalek Awakens escape room. It’s full of clues for both."
