RUMOR: Could Annabel Scholey be the next companion?
WARNING: This holds a lot of Doctor Who speculation, I’m just following a hunch!
Earlier this week, the Radio Times put out an article that history was possibly repeating itself. In 2016, Peter Capaldi and who we now know is Pearl Mackie, saw Curious Incident of the Dog and in the Night-time. They didn’t mention her by name, but it now makes sense that the two were together because they were filming season ten of Doctor Who.
However, it was said that Pearl and Peter pretended not to know each other when, obviously, they did. If they had known each other, it would have given off vibes that she could have been the companion, which is why my hunch is so farfetched.
But I couldn’t help but take Radio Times’ hunch one step further, just for thinking about another person who could be the companion.

Recently, as Radio Times pointed out, history repeated itself. Jodie Whitaker and Annabel Scholey visited the Cursed Child Play cast in London.

So?
Now, many people would think that if they were going to bring the Doctor and companion back together, they would pretend not to know each other again. And that’s absolutely likely. There are a lot of people in this picture, and not all of them are in robes. Some could be
muggles
people who aren’t in the show who also knew someone in the cast and happened to be in the same picture.
But on a hunch, I googled Annabel Scholey to see if she had anything going on lately. She’s known for Being Human and Medici, both of which are off the television. She finished a show called Britannia, which is in post-production. Meaning that she has nothing going on.
She’s a profiled actress that was with Jodie, seeming to be good friends, seeing the show together. Scholey is popular, but not more popular than Whittaker, and the two already look like they would have the chemistry to be friends on camera. They were both in Antigone along with Christopher Eccleston. Doesn’t this just reek of Doctor Who?
Now, of course, it’s possible that the two are friends and just decided to see a show together with no strings and that the companion isn’t even here! But it is interesting that a well-known actress, with nothing going on, fitting the perfect profile for a companion, would be with Jodie.
