John Simm to Return as the Master on Doctor Who

For some, John Simm was their first taste of the Master and now we’re going to see him take on the role again…somehow. How do you feel about it?

When John Simm first took on the Master, we got some amazing moments between the Doctor and his long time friend. We even had that scene where the Master danced to the Scissor Sister’s song “I Can’t Decide”.

But then his time came and the Master died and did not regenerate. So we thought him dead, as did the Doctor himself. Years later, we come to find out that the Master is now Missy and is still very much alive. While we still don’t know how that happened, we all love Missy so we’re letting it go.

But now it is confirmed that John Simm will return as the Master to Doctor Who.

And now we really have to ask, what in the world is going on? This show has a long of strange things and we love it and all the twists and turns it gives us. But really? The Master isn’t Missy? Or is this just a look into the Master before?

Whatever it is, it is confusing and a lot of us don’t know how to feel about this news. On one hand, John Simm was a fantastic Master. On the other, it is just more stuff for them to throw at us and not explain. Because really, that’s what they’ve been doing for the last few seasons and this is just too big for them to blow off.

So we are either getting two Masters or this is some weird storyline we don’t know about yet.
