Doctor Who: Peter Capaldi Answers Even More Fan Questions

Back once again with more fan questions posed to Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi.

In the same spirit of Peter Capaldi’s Twitter Q&A from Wednesday, the actor sat down again today with the BBC to answer some more questions from fans of Doctor Who. Presenting the questions was Ayshah Tull.

The first question is the same as one from the previous session, but he elaborates on his answer a bit. As before, he cites his favorite superhero as being Batman, specifically as portrayed by Adam West. Watching the show is a fond childhood memory for Capaldi. He notes words such as “POW!” flashing on the screen when Batman threw a punch — just as one would see in the comics. He acknowledges loving Robin, as well.

The next fan wants to know which actors Capaldi thinks “would make a fantastic Doctor in the future.” While he thinks that many would, his favorite choice is Frances de la Tour. He predicts that “she would be rather magnificent and very funny.” Another top pick for him is Helen Mirren.

The last question is in regards to what he does in his spare time when he is not filming. His initial response is that he tries to avoid eating too much, because he “likes eating very much.” He also watches television — which he seems to feel a bit guilty about — and draws pictures. He recalls when he used to sketch pictures of fellow passengers on the London Underground. This was probably back before he was the Doctor. It would be virtually impossible for him to have a casual ride on public transit now.

Tull tweeted a picture of herself with Capaldi.
