To commemorate the wrap of filming for Series One of the BBC Three spin-off Class, the BBC has released a promotional image from an episode of the show.

More from Winter is Coming

Today, our twins experienced the milestone of their first day of first grade. On that note –according to a tweet today by the official Doctor Who Twitter account — Series One of the Doctor Who spin-off Class recently wrapped filming, which began on April 4th. While some details on the show have been released, and showrunner Patrick Ness has discussed it since it was first announced, it has still been shrouded in much secrecy. We talked about this in an article last week.

Along that vein of mystery, to mark the wrap of filming, there has been one shadowy promotional screenshot released for the public to see. Pictured are Miss Quill (Katherine Kelly) and April (Sophie Hopkins) in the corridor of what appears to be Coal Hill School, the main setting of the program. Miss Quill stands behind April as the latter aims a gun at an off-screen threat. The weapon appears to be not of this world.

The following is the announcement:

Other than Kelly and Hopkins, the core starring cast of Class will be Greg Austin as Charlie, Fady Elsayed as Ram, and Vivian Oparah as Tanya. Also, Nigel Betts will reprise his role as Mr Armitage, who first appeared on Doctor Who.

The show is scheduled to premiere on the internet-based channel BBC Three in October of this year. The episodes will subsequently be broadcast on BBC One, BBC America, and Space (Canada).
