Just roundin’ up some TARDISes for all ya’ll Doctor Who fans, this August 2016.

Doctor Who TARDIS Tumbling Tower Game (credit: Underground Toys)

There is a new game fit for a Time Lord. The thirty six wooden piece, ten inch tall Doctor Who TARDIS Tumbling Tower Game by Underground Toys is basically Jenga, but… not officially. It is, however, officially licenced by the BBC. The blocks are TARDIS blue with a white-lined TARDIS printed on each side. Although the tower becomes increasingly wibbly wobbly as the game is played, it is not bigger on the inside because… well, there is no inside. It also does not produce lovely music like the Singing Towers of Darillium. The closest thing that one will get to a tune out of these blocks is a percussive rain as they come tumbling down. The game currently sells for $11.99 on Amazon.com.

In an act reminiscent of elements of both the episodes ‘The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe‘ and ‘Flatline,’ Peter Capaldi recently stepped into a relatively small wardrobe that was converted into a TARDIS by a fan. Before entering, Capaldi autographed the outside like the mensch that he is.

A short video of the moment was shared by Twitter user George Baker.

This TARDIS — unfortunately, yet obviously — is not bigger on the inside, either as a machine that is able to travel through time and space, or as a portal to Narnia.

More from Winter is Coming

Last month, we shared an article titled ‘Some Cool New Doctor Who Merchandise Coming Soon.’ One of the items was Doctor Who: The Official Cookbook. One recipe in said book is for a Gingerbread TARDIS. Recently, the official Doctor Who Youtube channel shared a time-lapse video of someone creating one. This is not only a fun watch, but useful for those of us who are visual learners… although it is probably too fast for some of the details.
