Check out the new variant covers for the upcoming Torchwood 2.1 issue from Titan Comics.

Earlier today, John Barrowman shared the five variant covers — each by a different artist — for the Torchwood #2.1 from Titan Comics. The issue will be available for purchase on December 21st of this year. In his Facebook post, he asks fans for their opinions of their favorite covers.

Cover A is by Blair Shedd. It features a closeup of a rather stoic looking Captain Jack Harkness. He is standing in a rainstorm at night with what appears to be lightning, and tumultuous ocean waves crashing in the background. His piercing gaze falls on something out of frame, off to his left.

Cover B is by Will Brooks. The photo manipulation features Agent Gwen Cooper standing behind a crouching Captain Jack Harkness as they both aim their guns toward something out of frame, off to their left. They are in the middle of a car-lined city street. One of the vehicles in overturned, and a couple of the crowded buildings are ablaze. Sparks fly around our heroes.

Cover C is by Nick Percival. Again, Captain Jack Harkness is in a rainstorm with lightning streaking the sky. This time, we see his full form as he stands on a ledge. He holds a gun as he looks toward something out of frame, off to his right. The hem of his full-length trench coat appears to be partially lifted by the wind.

More from Winter is Coming

Cover D is by Staz Johnson. It features highly stylized renditions of Captain Jack Harkness and Agent Gwen Cooper. The latter’s face is especially unrecognizable. From behind Gwen, Jack shoots at something out of frame, off to his right. A crouching Gwen aims a gun with a laser scope at something out of frame, off to her left. They appear to possibly be on top of a tall building, with many others in the background. A good number of stars are strangely visible in the sky despite the light pollution.

Cover E is by Simon Myers. It features Agent Gwen Cooper sitting in an office chair with her leather jacket draped over one side of the back. The combination of her crossed legs, folded hands, and coy smile (the only smile of all of the covers) simultaneously shows both comfort and vibrancy. Framing her from the back is a moon-like circle against a cement-colored background.
