Doctor Who Dates: Series 10 Wrap and Series 9 Amazon Prime Release

The dates have been released for both the wrapping of filming for Doctor Who Series Ten and the release of Series Nine on Amazon Prime.

Ways to maintain involvement in the Doctor Who fandom is a topic that is widely discussed amongst Whovians in the off season of the show. The gap between the Ninth and Tenth Series has been no exception. During such times, many fans busy themselves with activities such as keeping up with all of the behind the scenes pictures and videos, as well as bits of information such as those regarding casting and plot. From the beginning of filming for Series Ten on June 20th, the mania surrounding the production of the show seems to be more intense than ever… and it appears primed to continue in this vein at least until wrapping. According to an article by Nia Daniels of The Knowledge, this will be on the 31st of March 2017. The date is cutting it close to the previously reported airing of sometime in the spring of 2017.
Other popular pastimes are rewatching episodes, or taking the opportunity to catch up on ones that have yet to be watched. For those in the United States who do not own episodes on DVD, Blu-ray, or the virtual equivalent, the BBC has made viewing them quite difficult this year, as they have revoked the rights for Doctor Who from online streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu. The program has, however, remained on Amazon Prime, with the eagerly awaited Series Nine being provided starting on September 5th 2016. Frustratingly, the classic years are not currently provided by any streaming service in the United States.
